Welcome to the Strathpeffer Junction shop. UK shipping for OO Gauge ringfield adaptor kit orders is £2.99, irrespective of how many are purchased. We also ship to Ireland, mainland Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Due to lockdown restrictions and our reliance on a mobile post office, parcel-sized orders are currently dispatched at Tuesday lunchtimes weekly, while letter-sized orders are dispatched twice weekly.

EU Orders
Due to recent VAT changes in the UK & EU, orders shipped to the EU will now be liable for Import VAT. How that charge is applied (as well as any admin fees) will vary from country to country, but in most cases you are likely to be asked to pay before the item is delivered to you. You can also buy our kits on eBay, where Import VAT is covered in the postage costs.

Email Issues
Our email inboxes became corrupted following a server failure on 25th May 2022. We were not made fully aware of this until 14th June and a significant volume of email that was sent/received during that period has not been sent/received. We do now have some emails recovered and we will respond to those as soon as we are able, however if you have not received a response by 22nd June to any email sent by you prior to 17th June, we would ask that your resend it to us. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

21-Pin to 8-Pin Decoder Sapphire Adaptor Board (Wired DCC Harness with NEM652 8-Pin Plug)

£6.95

Out of stock

Description

A brand new, neat and compact 21-pin to 8-pin adaptor, allowing you to use a 21-pin decoder in a locomotive with an 8-pin socket.

The adaptor is compatible with all common brands of decoder, including ESU (LokPilot and LokSound), Zimo, Gaugemaster, Digitrax, Hornby and Bachmann.

The adaptor comes with approximately 100mm of harness and a purple/violet flying lead from Pin 14, which can be connected to Aux 2 lights or functions.

Usage

Installation: The adaptor is very easy to use and install. Simply align the 21-pin decoder to the 21-pin plug (as shown in the listing image) and carefully push the two together. The pins are delicate, so don’t force anything.

Removal: Please pay particular attention when removing the decoder from the adaptor, as it is very easy to bend pins. Sometimes a small screwdriver used in a gentle prising motion can help.

DCC Sound

For use with DCC sound decoders, the speaker(s) should be connected to the decoder’s factory-fitted speaker wires or on-board solder tabs.
