Description

A brand new, neat and compact 21-pin to 8-pin adaptor, allowing you to use a 21-pin decoder in a locomotive with an 8-pin socket.

The adaptor is compatible with all common brands of decoder, including ESU (LokPilot and LokSound), Zimo, Gaugemaster, Digitrax, Hornby and Bachmann.

The adaptor comes with approximately 100mm of harness and a purple/violet flying lead from Pin 14, which can be connected to Aux 2 lights or functions.

Usage

Installation: The adaptor is very easy to use and install. Simply align the 21-pin decoder to the 21-pin plug (as shown in the listing image) and carefully push the two together. The pins are delicate, so don’t force anything.

Removal: Please pay particular attention when removing the decoder from the adaptor, as it is very easy to bend pins. Sometimes a small screwdriver used in a gentle prising motion can help.

DCC Sound

For use with DCC sound decoders, the speaker(s) should be connected to the decoder’s factory-fitted speaker wires or on-board solder tabs.
