Welcome to the Strathpeffer Junction shop. UK shipping for OO Gauge ringfield adaptor kit orders is £2.99, irrespective of how many are purchased. We also ship to Ireland, mainland Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Due to lockdown restrictions and our reliance on a mobile post office, parcel-sized orders are currently dispatched at Tuesday lunchtimes weekly, while letter-sized orders are dispatched twice weekly.

EU Orders
Due to recent VAT changes in the UK & EU, orders shipped to the EU will now be liable for Import VAT. How that charge is applied (as well as any admin fees) will vary from country to country, but in most cases you are likely to be asked to pay before the item is delivered to you. You can also buy our kits on eBay, where Import VAT is covered in the postage costs.

Email Issues
Our email inboxes became corrupted following a server failure on 25th May 2022. We were not made fully aware of this until 14th June and a significant volume of email that was sent/received during that period has not been sent/received. We do now have some emails recovered and we will respond to those as soon as we are able, however if you have not received a response by 22nd June to any email sent by you prior to 17th June, we would ask that your resend it to us. Description

A 1m length of high-quality Black Tack/Black Tac putty, supplied with protective backing paper.

Dimensions: 1m x 20mm x 1mm (approx.)
Adhesive power: 12 N/cm
Temperature Resistance: -40°C to + 90°C
Operating temperature: + 5°C to + 40°C

This is a must-have item for every railway modeller or photography enthusiast. It is an industrial version of blu-tac and far stronger, which awesome sticking power. It gets stickier the more it’s worked and can be reused multiple times.

It provides a permanent yet easily reversible fixing for DCC decoders, wiring, cab and directional light installations, DCC sound upgrades, sealing speakers enclosures, weights and ballast, and any number of other modelling uses.

It is non-toxic and specially formulated so it can be left in place for several hours without leaving any residues when it is removed (although we don’t recommend that it’s left on the outside of models or equipment for more than a couple of days to avoid marks from extended use).

Instructions

Black tack can be used immediately, but for best results, work it between your fingers for a few minutes before use. For full strength, you may have to knead it a lot more than you would for normal blu-tac. You know it is ready when it becomes almost too sticky to get off your fingers.
